There is pressure. Outside this room. It is kinetic. It is a hand covered in charcoal. A massive smudge along the hallway. It is closing in. The wallpaper moistens like hundred year old glue, it retracts and creates holes. Inside my room, where I am, I can sense it. The light is on in here, a yellow light that lingers as vapor. It was dropping, but has stopped. It looms midway in the air. It too knows what is coming. The window in the wall, although my back is turned to it, is allowing an image that I do not care to see. The dark green of the trees, the wind. The sky became a mausoleum. Yellow light. Mould. Wet carpet under an opened window. Yeah, the day is licked for sure now.
'Soon, my Pale Child, the sun shall completely withdraw and we shall sit. I will be before you.
How shall you be?
Oh, bastard and pale, I say once more, how shall you be?
Alas, you have not the will. Not another sorry hand with fingertips crawling up the inside of your thigh'.
-Awaken NOW!
(Name of the Father,
the Son,
the Holy Ghost)
I don't need to turn around to know. There is an electricity now. Somewhere in here, it's on.
In this small house at the bottom of this mountain. In this small space, stapled and hung, nailed around a wooden frame. Putrefaction. The day is withdrawn.
