Hovering between experimental classical, gothic and avant opera, ‘The New Queen’ takes on a haunting and otherworldly quality, leading the listener through ancient corners of the psyche – as though dancing through medieval carnivals and coronations; into dark dungeons, barns and funeral grounds.
